Last week, I was so fortunate to sit in a circle of incredible women on our annual Costa Rican women's wellness and yoga retreat.

As we passed the crystal talking stick around from woman to woman, we shared about our forthcoming intentions, as well as what (most often) gets in our way as we get closer to them.

Listening to each vulnerable share underscored how WE get in our own way—through our critical internal dialogue, our outdated habitual patterns, our self-aggressive thoughts, our limiting beliefs, and our fears.

It is clear that upgrading our relationship to ourselves is where we can reclaim our greatest power.

The way we narrate our lives shapes what our lives become.

When we turn this conversation to food and body, most of us know how complex this can get. What we do with food is what we do with life –– there is no separation.

It is a challenge to live our lives to the fullest and to feel good about our contributions in the world when we are consumed with what we eat and how we look in the mirror. Our self-sabotaging thoughts about food and our bodies often rob us of our lives’ greatest joys.

In honor of valentines weekend, getting out of our own way, and practicing unconditional self-love, I have a very special episode of SATIATE for you.
