What is Yoga?

Yoga can mean very different things for the individual. Some find a quiet space within, others love to move the body and find physical opening. For me yoga is about aligning with nature, higher consciousness and grace. Through regular practice I cultivate awareness of both the physical body and the mind. As the body opens, the energy can flow more freely, and we step into health and healing. Yoga can connect us to like-minded people where we can share and grow from our experience together. Yoga as a daily ritual connects us back to our breath and back to living in the present moment. As we practice these qualities on the mat, we can then take these tools and use them in our lives. Yoga is radiant aliveness, love, and connection.
